How this tool works

Make a histogram from numeric values

Paste one numeric column from a spreadsheet-style table or plain text. Choose a bin count, then use the histogram and frequency table to inspect the shape of the distribution.

  • Start with the sample data or paste values from a spreadsheet.
  • Adjust the bin count until the distribution is readable and not too noisy.
  • Export the histogram as PNG, SVG, JPG, or JPEG after it renders.

Use the frequency table to audit bins

Each bar counts how many values fall inside a numeric range. The frequency table lists those ranges directly, which makes it easier to audit the chart and compare bin choices.

  • More bins show finer detail but can look noisy.
  • Fewer bins simplify the shape but may hide smaller clusters.
  • Skew, gaps, and peaks are often easier to see in a histogram than in raw data.

Choose a useful bin count

The sample data has many values around 5 to 13 and one larger value at 18. Changing the bin count shows how bin width affects whether that upper value appears as part of the main spread or as a separate tail.

FAQ

Can I enter ungrouped values?

Yes. Paste a list of numeric values and the tool will group them into bins for the histogram and frequency table.

What does a histogram show?

A histogram shows how numeric values are distributed across frequency bins.

Can I change the number of bins?

Yes. Use the bin count control and the chart updates immediately.

Does this tool show a frequency table?

Yes. The table lists each bin range and its frequency.

Can I paste spreadsheet data?

Yes. Paste one numeric column from a spreadsheet.

Is my data stored?

No. Calculations happen in your browser and user input is not stored.

Can I export the histogram?

Yes. PNG, SVG, JPG, and JPEG exports are available after rendering.
